Clark Le Compte works in Scratchboard, which is a subtractive process. A masonite board is sprayed with white clay and then a coat of black ink is added on top. Detailed images are created by using small knives, creating dynamic works by removing the black ink and revealing the clay underneath. His work shows in Baltimore, MD, Brooklyn, NY, Portland, OR and Provincetown, RI.
